In 2018, the Blockchain Hub for an Inclusive Economy (Blockchain4Good) was created at the Hunt Institute for Engineering & Humanity of SMU in partnership with FinTech4Good, to foster the application of blockchain and other transformational technologies for a more sustainable and inclusive economy.
Blockchain4Good Exists To:
- Promote an understanding of blockchain technology and its potential applications, related challenges, and opportunities
- Disseminate the experiences of operating blockchain models
- Serve as a multi-disciplinary and multi-stakeholder hub for developing and implementing blockchain solutions for a more sustainable and inclusive economy
Blockchain and other transformational technologies have significant potential to help achieve the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
